Is it fine to use WDH device on the GC 2007. I am towing a 28 foot overall caravan ATM 2840 kg.

Weight distribution hitch, at a guess from the rest of his question.

Are you asking for legal or insurance reasons? Try checking with your insurance company.

I am asking for practical reasons, somewhere I think I heard they are not recommended on some vechiles. But could be wrong as well.
We think the caravan feels more stable at higher speeds with it on.

Not a problem to use a WDH. Just make sure that you have the tow bar checked and that it is all in top condition. I have mine checked at a service at least once a year. I have been using a WDH on both my GC's for the last 8 years with out any issues. Go for it.....
