Baxter I'm not a Mansfield customer and I doubt fronting the shopfront in numbers would achieve much. As much as it would be nice to be able to get a decent response, I don't believe that the problem necessarily lies with the dealerships. They can only pass on what they are feed from above. When you see the way the Customer Care Centre responds (or more to the point doesn't respond) to some callers you would have to say the problem lies firmly with Chrysler Australia. I wonder if the head office of Chrysler USA are aware of the issues we are having here. I'd love to be able to contact them. Don't suppose anyone has their email address?

I think your spot on gecko the local guys (eg mansfield) are just as frustrated. As usual i have received no response from chrysler customer relations(aust)from the message i left this morning and as usual i don't expect to.Your option to contact chrysler usa is worth thinking abt or maybe as a group a section in the newspaper abt their lack of response or even the tv channels.I am open to suggestions

Given the fix is a lack of functionality of vehicle for intended purpose, I reckon there's got to be a legal action possibility. It would need to be a class action to get them to take notice though. Who out there has contacts in the appropriate legal / compensation area who could find out more? Going by the forums there must be thousands of affected customers (hence validity of class action) if it's every non air-lift suspension vehicle capable of being affected.

I think I'm so pissed that I hand over 50k + for a new car to the local dealer only to be told the noise is a characteristic of the Car. I think the only think do is is when I have Clients in the car and they ask what the noise is , I can say with confidence that it's a Jeep thing you wouldn't understand.

That and the missing recovery hooks would be of interest to a couple of 4WD mag reporters.

Hi all, I've watched this item with interest and to date have not been affected. (No knocking noise) I've read through the posts and can say that my new Laredo CRD (no Quadralift) doesn't have this problem at the moment, but my build date was 28th January. Question is: is this a pre January build issue or are there other people with recent deliveries that now have the knocking noise?

I am affected by the no receovery hooks issue, but have been given the end of May by my dealer as 'it should be fixed'. Needless to say, as per my posts on that forum, if I get to the 1st June and have not received and appropriate outcome on the recovery hook item, I am planning on escalating through the Fair Trading and Legal channels.
