Just got my JK booked in for it's 48k service, rang a couple of dealers prices range from $1350 - $830 decided on the $830. The vehicle will be having some warranty work done at the same time (clutch pedal issues). This will be the last time the dealer gets my truck as the warranty is just about up. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Perth for future reference?

I was in the exact same vote when DVG called me about my 48k service... $850 for the service to keep my warranty in check until October 2012!! As my truck has only done 30k ans was serviced in Sep 2011, im not going to do my 48k service until i actually reach it... hopefully nothing major goes wrong

Just did my JK petrol 48,000km service at the dealership. Came to $767, though I did turn down the optional fuel system flush that I had done last time. Was pretty happy with the price.

Jeep had only 36k on the clock I'm not any where near the km rather just servicing it every 6 months.

It's amazing the variation in price from dealership to dealership.

Which dealer did you use?

Does this sound right?
Doesnt sound right.... It is adjusted by removing the rear wheels and calipers and adjusting the star thingy inside the rear handbrake drum..... Takes about 1 hour roughly when I do it....

You have to learn how to do it yourself or you will get ripped off. Gave up on dealers years ago. They basically take advantage of people who don't know any better and there's plenty of them.
