What grade oil eg ( 20w50 ) should i be using in a 06 tj.

the recomended grade is 10/30.

Kool i have been using 20w50 in the royal purple.. hexy i know but i am running royal purple for all my oils.

why royal purple?

I'm using Castrol RX Super 15w-40 diesel engine oil, also rated for petrol API SL

the spec nominates 10w-30 and is what I used for the first 100,000. I think it nominates a low viscosity grade in an effort to reduce drag and therefore conserve fuel rather than prolong engine life

Um i found it one day and decided to do some research and rp is ment to be very good for high temt engines and for off road uses. so i am running it now it in my diffs and gearbox and rp coolant and a K&N oil filter.
