August 2012 'Editor in the Chief'

This issue we cover the Classic not Plastic event which was held over the June long weekend. The event is for the classic Jeeps (pre-Chrysler models) to gather and talk about ownership. It was good to see some classics we hadn't seen at previous events, but I'm sure there are more out there who could come along. There will be a change in the format for next year which we will keep you updated on.

Also this issue we liven up the 3.8l engine in our JK-8 with a Sprintex Supercharger and the guys in Tamworth build two V6 powered Army Jeeps.

We conclude our coverage of the Moparized Jeeps from the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab with the Wrangler Apache and Wrangler Traildozer and feature a great camping destination in NSW.

Don't forget to "like" MAXTRAX on facebook for the chance to win a California road trip to the starting line of the 2012 Score Baja 1000 (see page 21).

Enjoy,
Michael Bowen
