Default The Adventure.. Begins.

So I did something crazy..

Well, almost, it's been a while since jeeps
History:
96' sport
98' grand
2004' Wrangler

I've decided, much to some peoples disgust to buy a WH Diesel.
it's a MY07 but tagged as 08 aniversary, it's done 190,000k's but for a diesel I don't care.
The bit that concerns me.. It's never had a foot go wrong.. always been jeep serviced and is in just the most amazing condition.

So what's a guy to do when he's in Perth buying a car from Sydney? ROAD TRIP OF COURSE!.

Yes I could have spent less money and just either bought one here or freighted it over, but I'm looking for an adventure..

So.. there it is, I want to drive Sydney - Perth..

I'm looking for some opinions on experiences doing that trip, if you've done it before, what to look out for.. and useful tips etc.. it'll be my first cross country road trip..

Thumbs up Great choice

Before you leave Sydney have a bullbar fitted, the roo's are in plague proportions in NSW at the moment,
Get a UHF, a hand held should be fine as long as it is a high wattage (imo 5watt),
change oil and filters get a spare air filter and a bug screen for the grill.
And give yourself plenty of time, the roads are not the best here.
Things to see.
In my local area there is Jenolan Caves http://www.jenolancaves.org.au/
Further west i Temora http://www.aviationmuseum.com.au/ and Parkes http://www.csiro.au/Portals/Educatio...Telescope.aspx
On the NSW/VIC boarder there is sister towns of Echuca/Moama http://www.murrayriver.com.au/echuca/
Then there is Ballarat http://sovereignhill.com.au/
The list goes on, all these places I have been to and in my opinion are worth the time.
