Just be careful with that statement - most tyres in this size are designed for your 2.5 tonne plus Yota's /Nissans etc. Stick this 'stronger' sidewall tyres onto a light weight 2 door JK and all of a sudden your ride may not be what you expect.

Ask JKtom about his recent experiences in this area!!

That said, I am not knocking this particular tyre, just commenting on the stronger sidewall argument for our lighter vehicles.

Yep - the MT/R's I'm looking at are actually a C rated tyre not E which from all I've read should give you a softer ride while maintaining strength. Of course this is only what I've read

C rated generally (not always) means 2 ply sidewall and 6 ply tread. D generally means 3 ply sidewall and 8 ply tread.
Although some BFG C rated tyres still have there tri guard sidewall, and some MT and Goodyear Duratracs in D rating have a 2 ply sidewall.
So D is generally stronger the C.
Clear as Mud right

Does anybody here run 33s on a manual CRD with 3.21 diffs? Can anybody tell me how much of a noticeable difference this will make to how the jeep drives compared to 32s? I have 32s on there right now and just starting to think of possible replacement options. I'd like to go to 285s but I don't want to spend the next 60,000kms regretting it if my jeep drives like a dog because of the increased diameter... I'd love to hear some people's first hand experiences...
