Ive got some beadlocked rims sitting at home. I want to buy new tyres to put on them. I'm either going to get 35 x 11.5 Simex or Q78 Swampers. Cant decide

Lockedup , did you use shock relocation brackets for the rear ? You need these to move the shockies away from the spring perch on the axel ..........once they are in you can adjust the pinion angle easily and then adjust the lenght of the control arms to suit and fit easily. Not having them can cause you to destroy two new shockies ultra quick and your pinion angle will be crap.

The relocation brackets take about 10 minutes each side to fit on the axel shock mounts and they are inexpensive.

As for the tyres ........go 33" mate, just rear a bit on the forum and you will find that 35's on standard axels seems to result in more breakages than fun times. And my guess is that you are wanting more fun times than breakages .......

Jeep looks schmick by the way !

Hey mate I have used the shock relocation brackets. Got them off Wooders.

The type of driving we do is steep muddy and rutted hills. you really need a 35" tall tyre so you dont diff out. I had a zook on 34's with stock diffs and never broke a thing. I dont drive it hard and bounce ect. If i get breakages though thats life. 33's would really limit the cars ability on the tracks I would be doing

Thanks for the input though.

Nice work... The swampers fill out the guards nicely, and if they are running low on tread you can just re-groove them to get a bit more life out of them.

How do you find the TJ compared to the old SPOA zook?

To be honest i havent driven it much. Ive only taken it to Neerim once and that was on stock tyres and lets just say it wasnt to impressive. I like the power but overall i miss my zook.
