Default O2 sensor help?

Just need a quick answer. Need to get new O2 sensors for my 2000 v8 grand. I have a spare brand new rear sensor that was meant to be for my 6 cyl. But never got a chance to put it on. Now my v8 needs one on bank 2 sensor 2. Could I use the one that was meant for my 6 cyl to replace this one. I'll need to get all new sensors soon. But I got check engine light and p0161 coming up now. Any ideas or answers would be great. I don't mine cutting. Heat shrinking and soldering this one with the other plug. Just need to know if it could work? Cheers.

Done. No more engine light but fuel consumption is still crap. Getting less than 400 pertank. The O2 sensors look different. Old one has heaps holes. New one only has 2 or 3 small holes. Going to get all new ones. Which ones off rock auto should I buy. Had a look but there is heaps to choose from and worried which ones will be right?

The V8 has 4 x O2 sensors, and whilst they look the same they do have different part numbers and talk to the ECU. I would not be plugging in just any old O2 sensor.
