Paint job is the next step, and then the turbo rebuild

Went to the Wandin 4wd show with my family and a couple uni mates. When I got back to the jeep there were two XJ's parked next to me, both running 33's! What are the chances? haha

mine does the same thing i remember complaining to stealership about it when it was still new they just put cable ties on it , there is a bracket on the floor but you need cable ties to reach it anyway.

nice side rails..are they rock rails by any chance ? how do you know your turbo is on its way out / needs to be rebuilt ? or is it more of a precautionary rebuild

side steps are now gone, they were properly rusted out, i touched a rust bubble with a screwdriver and it went thru!! They were on the car when i got it, there was some kind of a sticker on one of them but that got ripped off sometime before i got it.

The turbo is boosing fine but its leaking oil quite a bit. im not getting any white or blue smoke, just the normal black smoke under load
