Default Soft top Advice

Hey all.

Just looking for some advice before i purchase my new soft top for my TJ.

I have found there is so much out there its overwhelming
Tossing up between the following.

Rugged Ridge XHD Bowless Soft Top - http://www.quadratec.com/products/11119_00XX_PG.htm

Bestop Sailcloth Replace-a-top™ with Tinted Windows - http://www.quadratec.com/products/11132_073X_PG.htm

Bestop Trektop NX - http://www.quadratec.com/products/11116_32XX_PG.htm

I heard alot of good things about the bestop sailcloth replace-a-top and i know its prop the best factory fitting replacement. But i also like the simplicity of the bowless and trektop...

Just want to know everyones suggestions/experiences with any of these tops, how hard fitting is, etc.

Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

I have been using a Viking (now Rampage) bowless/frameless soft top since 2007: http://www.quadratec.com/products/11119_1X1X_PG.htm

The factory/bestop fully framed top is the best for leaks, noise and ease of removal and installation. If you want to take the windows out and fold the top down and go for a drive then put it back up again then the factory top is quicker.

The frameless tops looks great, are easier to store (whole top fits into a box), don't require any hardware other than a windshield header, are very quick to completely remove but they can take longer to fully re-install after complete removal. Another bonus is that they usually convert into a dedicated safari style top.

hope this helps

Thanks for the advise.. was the frameless hard to fit? really like the look of them.

So are the bowless/frameless ones known to leak?..

Not really concerned about noise. Didn't buy my TJ for comfort
