Default Flickering driver's side HID headlight. Anyone else had this?

Hi all.

As the title suggests, I am having issues with my driver's side HID headlight flickering. It only started today & seems like a loose connection because it flickers with the engine idle but sometimes it goes out completely.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue & if it's just an easy fix or if I'm gonna have to dick around and take it back to the dealer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Clarkey.

Hi Clarkey ... I'd try to just reseat the connectors at the headlight. If that doesnt work take it back.

As a HID bulb has no filament, it is likely to be a connection that is doing this.

Yeh, mine did that a few times but went away itself. I thought it wasnt a flicker, it was more like a shift up and down of the projector light, but really fast.

Thanks guys. I'll try and take a closer look on the weekend. I'm just getting over my chest pains after I found out how much my 20K service is gonna cost me.

Knowing my luck, CJD will say that issues with the headlights aren't covered under warranty.

May be a ballast issue....care to share the amount of your pain?

I'm hoping that I can either find a loose connection or they can fix it when they plug it in to the computer. The 20K service is $648. Luckily it's a lease vehicle. Still ridiculous though.

Take it back to the dealer it's more likely an internal ballast issue & will be covered by warranty , iv replaced 2 since the WK's were released
& as for the 20k service costing 600 bucks , I'd question that mate , it's only a oil & filter change , air filter if needed check all driveline fluids, tyre rotation & scan for flash updates
