Default Xj diesel HELP

Hi I need help with my xj diesel . I went to start it today and got nothing from the key , dash lights exc came on but went to turn key and get nothing at all ,any ideas on where to start looking

the switch on the clutch pedal could be playing up.

push the clutch hard to the floor, or un plug the switch and tap a wire from one side on the plug to the other to bridge it, so you dont need your foot on the clutch to start it

Looks like mudmonster has picked this up anyway (one of your best bets for xj diesel knowledge), but you might get better results by having a moderator move this thread to the XJ section.

Check your starter solenoid, starter relay and starter fuse, make sure your battery is good, Jeeps Love voltage.
But like MM Said, Could be the neutral safety switch...

Dont worry about DB, he has probably got a head full of dust! Or maybe it rained & he needs to change his name to mudpuddle !
Given the OP has not responded ~ dont you hate that!! I guess we can assume he put his foot on the clutch!
