Default WH Grand Intercooler Hose......Help!

Hi all,
Had a service on the WH today and the mechanic noticed that the hose between the throttle body and the intercooler has deteriorated to the point where it is starting to weep oil.
Does anyone know if there is such thing as an after market silicone type hose or do I have to go with an original?

Thanks in advance

Craig

Sounds similar to this tread

It has been mentioned in the above post that the intake hose/resonator are porous, it may be worth removing the hose & resonator and clean the oil out.

It is my understanding that the only way oil can get into that hose is from the EGR valve.

Thanks Clarky. I did do a search of the forum prior to posting this thread.
I do have the GDE tune & a provent, however the hose was seeping prior to installing these.

Cheers, Craig

Bad news

Nobody makes silicone hoses for the WH yet I spoke to Samco direct not enough demand for the WH yet

I went through the same problem with my WH CRD while I was fitting the provent and GDE tune

I removed the inter-cooler stood it on its end for a couple days nearly got half a litre of oil out of it sent it away to get ultrasonically cleaned also had the hoses ultrasonically cleaned at the same time

Cleaned all the manifolds as much as I could using bottle brushes on the cordless drill with wynns EGR cleaner some of the black muck that came out was frightening

Hey Doc, guess I 'll stop looking for a silicone hose.
Do you think it is worth removing the intercooler and going through the whole cleaning process?
Also, how many Klm's had you done when you went through the cleaning process?

Cheers, Craig
