Default Stockton Beach - Sun 11th Aug

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new on here, and new to 4WD-ing on the beach.

I'm looking at going to Stockton Beach this Sunday.

Anyone else going to be up there, and possibly want to show me the ropes to beach driving, and maybe even attempting a Dune...

- I'm a bit nervous about the whole process of deflating tyres, getting bogged, etc. etc.

- I was told to not go within two hours of high tide, but high tide is at 11am this week at 1.5 meters. Thoughts?

PLUS, it is a stock jeep, and I know a lot of people make fun of that, and its 2 weeks old today.

But am keen to give it a shot. If anyone is going to be up there let me know.

Also, happy to take advice as well.

I have been there thousands of times, and I will be more than happy to show you the ropes!!! Ill get back to you by tomorrow night... I will probably have a tag along!! Yes I'd agree with the two hours before and after however sometimes the beach is passable at high tide... Where are you travelling from and what jeep do you drive... You'll need at least one recovery point... If you make it tomorrow I can definitely make it!!

Nothing wrong with a stock jeep mate. Out of the factory they are a great starting point and you will be surprised just how far they will get you.

Can't make this weekend but have a blast and let us know how you go.

Don't worry about the tide, if its abit high in places you can go around it. Jeeps are in there element on the beach, light weight and plenty of power.

And don't forget to buy 2 shackles and a snatch strap, nothing worse than someone asking to get pulled out that don't own one
