Installed the narvas today (finally)
And there is definitely an improvement, even using the globes that come with the kit

Default ebay lights

I thoght I would let people see what a set of lights look like that I bought off ebay.

No real focus in the light, and, I had them installed by a Jeep dealer that managed to crack one of the lenses during the install and bend the retaining rings on both lights.

I am now looking at either the Britax or Narva lights with the philips 80+ (or 100+ I can't remember) globes I used in these lights.

here is the light projection both close up and a jeep length away, as well as a look at the LED ring lights used as parker lights.

Price $128 pair, globes included. - Coventrys

The brightness is the same since i have carried my IPF Fatboy Globes over to the new lamps so i wont talk about that. What i can say though is the cutoff in these things in bloody brilliant! Much much sharper than the stock hellas. When you are standing outside the Jeep looking at the headlights from the side they look like they are just park lamps the cutoff is that good!

Fitting needed a bit of trimming to the locating tabs to suit my 07 JK with headlight levelling, i don't know if others would all be the same? The set came with park lights installed with a couple of wires running out (which you would need to solder some spade connectors on if you were to use them) and a blank rubber grommet which i put a nice round hole in to suit the stock park light bulb holders.

1st pic - Low beam
2nd - High beam
3rd - side cutoff (down the fence on the right hand side)
4th - Narva on left stock hella on right

Photos were taken at 5:30 so still a fair bit of ambient daylight around to give a more accurate idea of what they're like. I'll get a better side cutoff photo tonight.

Default Britax online

Narva's: $149 pair at Autobahn, or $102 + ~$15 postage from a mob in Townsville.
Britax: $90 each at TJM, or $73 each from same Townsville mob before postage.

Anyone know of anywhere that sells the Britax cheaper and posts?
I just ordered a set of Britax lights from this crowd. Their e-commerce site is basic and you need to get a freight quote as a separate step after completing checkout, but they seem friendly and responded quickly.

Hopefully this weekend I can take some pics of the light output from these compared to the ebay ones I bought recently.

That is a good find, I have never seen them available for purchase on-line before. I bought mine from Truckline by placing a phone order and driving down to pick them up (Truckline are a bit old skool).

I would love for someone to compare the Britax with the Cibies; http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-x-CIBIE...ht_2096wt_1163

Not quite thread necromancy, but I spotted a new globe option yesterday on another site. Anyone here have any experience with LED H4 globes? Not the Trucklite ones, just an H4 globe replacement, like these: Car H4 High Low Beam Head Light Lamp CREE Led.

They seem to run a 24W low beam LED & 26W high beam LED, but have a small fan mounted on the heatsink at the back. Not sure how well they would go in river crossings or especially with the restricted room in the back of the JK headlights!
