The hardest bit was getting the OE bolts off at the transfer case. That took me more time than anything. I used a long 3/8 wobble extension made things easier but still a pain in the ass. I only had a normal 1/2inch breaker for the flanges MM is right about it being on tight. If your bench press is good you will be fine after a few attempts if not then hang off it with a few sharp tugs it should come off. If you have to buy the socket get the impact socket just incase

Default Front drive shaft Uni movement

Thanks again for the help guys. Couldn't find a Tom woods in stock so ended up saving over $500 and picked up a second hand unit for $50. Big thanks to the guys at JeepKonection in Victoria who offered a recently removed shaft and had it in the post the day I spoke to them. Took 6 business days to Broome which I thought was pretty good! Fitted up easily, the hardest part was cracking the 4 bolts on the front diff end, not sure I could have done it without the 12V impact driver. The other end with 8 little bolts all cracked easily but they are long threads and harder to get to. All up about 3-4 hours to get the old one out and new one in. The new one can't have done many kms as the spicer part no sticker still looks virtually new.

The old shaft had cracked Uni caps, and split CV boot, so definitely happy it's sorted before the Gibb

For $50 a shaft might never go a TW... Now the Jeep is ready for cape Leveque and the Gibb!
