lol, all good mate, at no point did i think it was a pissing match, just a conversation. IM putting a 350 chev into a jeep atm and a LS1 into a ultra4 with the help of brooksy so we are kinda working on the same path. I was also into drag racing first with a WH caprice doing 11.3. I might even know you from there.

Who's building your ultra4 chassis? What's Brooksy doing on it?

Haha the old shed at greenbank. We are now in a shop at slacks creek. If you need any work done don't hesitate to give us a call mate. We're buildings few class 2 prolite buggies at the moment to race at finke next year. I build them in my own time. We can fabricate and weld anything you need. Including fully Tig welded diff housings and chassis. What Diffs will your artec ss be running?

i to agree that a LS is a better motor, but also think the 5L would be a good motor on a budget build.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of a 5L, i think you could get an atlas, motor and box for the same cost as the gen and conversion kit.

From that point of view the 5L makes more sense to me.
