Do I spend more $$$ or let it go for a lot less than what I thought and try and find a buyer that doesn't mind doing a bit of work for a trail ready weapon, that needs a little bit of the love I can't afford time or $ wise.

I'd appreciate thoughts and suggestions on approach and price via PM please! You guys know the market value better than what I do.
Remember that your ride is worth what somebody else is willing to pay for it. In the end, all the mods that you might found to be really awesome, might turn other people away from buying. People looking for XJ's should know usually they will need to be doing some work.
I'd say, save the money now, inform possible buyers of the things-to-do list and be honest about it. Sell it if you cant afford it anymore, its gonna be hard anyway, but its worth whatever the day value might be, plus or minus a little extra for the mods. But many make the mistake to think they get for it what THEY think its worth, because all the money and time spent on it. However, you will get what somebody else thinks its worth....

Check out my Ride(s)
Default

Finally fitted my new front rotors and pads
Changed the mega worn panhard rod
Tightened a very loose steering arm (how did it undo with a pin in it? Dunno)

Nice to drive and the car not shimmy down the road haha

Well aware of this, I've sold 2 cars that I kept for a year, one after the other due to changing family and fiscal situations and lost more than 50% on each. Clearly I buy the wrong cars for the wrong price or maybe it's just where I am. Pretty sure if I was located in a big city it would be better. If it was a $1k commodore I was selling I'd be laughing. I'm open to reasonable offers, I mean who pays advertised price on anything these days? Just dont wanna set the start price too low.
I'll be selling with now RWC now and I'll be more than honest about what needs doing, I mean why lie, really. That and the person buying it will know where I live...
