Question WG Rear Dana Diff 60??

Ok I know enough to know this isn't normal, but I swear my rear diff in my 2005 WG Overland is a Dana 60 ( well the first two digits on the id tag say so.

Have I got something wrong or did they come out with a 60 in some cases.
Am on site at the present so will grab a pic when I get home.

Anyone??

If you had a Dana 60 & normal tyres the pumkin would nearly be draging on the ground.

Default WJ Rear diff

Thanks guys,
Its just i did a major service on it a while ago and i had stockpiled all the gaskets ( diffs, transmition) and obviously ordered Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear. Well when i came to fit the rear lube locker gasket ??? wrong shape.. So i did more investigating and the ID tag on the BOM # starts with 60 !!

I know your probably right its just wierd..

Thanks..

Apparently they don't make a rear gasket for a WJ, you probably received a 44 gasket which is different shape to a 44a

Only factory options for rear on wj or wg was dana 35c or dana 44hd also known as dana 44a.
The number your looking at is a build materials id (bill of materials) and means nothing to us. There is no way its a D60.
