Default STRAYA DAY - Defect woes

Hi all, just did a trip out to Bribie for an early morning surf and got pinned by transport coming back in off the cutting - Happy Australia Day.

He did treat me pretty well though all I need to do is get a mod plate for my lift that I told him was 2" spring 2" body (actually 3 and 2) and let me go.

Problem is my springs are 3" not 2", he said I can get this done at any mechanic etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a mechanic that will mod plate my 3" and 2" before February the 10th that is on the Northside of Brisbane (I'm at Narangba)? Money isn't really an issue, hell I'd pay them extra if they saved me sourcing 2" springs for 30 minutes worth of inspection. All I have to do is get it plated and mail them the paperwork.

That or has anyone got a set of 2" I can borrow for a couple of days, alcohol provided as incentive of course .

The ironic part is I sold my old 2's not too long ago!

Give precise automotive in Narangba a call, Mick's a good bloke.

.

The difference between theory and practice is, in theory there is no difference...

What tyres you got on there? Assuming with 5in of lift they are probably more than 50mm larger than stock and they didnt pick up on them? Lucky!

Sucks none the less... THey should have been out celebrating Australia day not destroying someone elses..

They were out in force on bribie beach . We got breathalyzed twice
permits checked 3 times & then a transport dept check while airing up , was starting feel like a bit paranoid .
Must admit they were all friendly & in good spirits.

Permits checked three times.... that annoys me. Noosa is the same. When they started charging to enter the North shore the first thing on their publicized agenda was several amenities blocks. All they have done is put on heaps more staff and six new vehicles so they can check more permits and issue more infringement notices.

Sent from a tiny keyboard with fat fingers, apologies for my spelling. .

Yeah well my wife just phoned me to say she has just been done by the cops outside our daughters schoolApparently our tyre stick out to far from the stock flares bout 30mm but the biggest problem he was more concerned bout was that we had no mud flaps go figureDidnt mention anything bout 3.5inch lift, the only thing going for him the wife said he was really nice bout it and mentioned thats is a nice jeep, but that was as he was handing her the $110.00 fine.
