For anyone interested in cycling for a good cause, I am ditching my Jeep and riding my bike in the 2014 Signature Tour of the Tour de Cure from Sydney to Hobart next month. Myself and about 65 others will ride the entire 1,595km over 10 consecutive days, raising funds for cancer and spreading the "Be Fit, Be Healthy, Be Happy" message to schools and small communities along the way.
You may have seen previous years' rides on Channel 7's Sunrise Show. Mark Beretta, sports commentator, had done this ride the last 3 years and will be riding with us again this year.
In the 7 years of this ride, over $10M has been raised and this year's target is $3M.
If anyone lives along the route we will be riding, why not come on down and say g'day. Here's the itinerary:
March 28 - Depart from Sydney CBC - to Mossvale
29 - Mossvale to Canberra
30 - Canberra to Adaminaby
31 - Adaminaby to Corryong
April 1 - Corryong to Wangaratta
2 - Wangaratta to Eildon
3 - Eildon to Melbourne
Overnight ferry to Devenport
4 - Devenport to Launceston
5 - Launceston to Swansea
6 - Swansea to Hobart

Thanks for reading.
