okay. I've got to ask...you are going to lay out 3-4 large on wheels and tyres. Plus the lift. What is the issue with changing guards. They would be a fraction of the total cost of lift/tyres. If the answer is legal (track width etc) you are going to 35s and a 3.5 lift so a bit of a moot point and are looking to engineer. A 4.5 BS 17x9 with the right amount of offset will give you a hub centred wheel and open up many, many wheel options.

So a 17x9 with 4.5 BS running 285x70x17's will stay within standard flares?

Hi Harley. I can't find any aftermarket flares I like. I'm running an ARB bar and flat flares don't look right and the other ones that look like an SLR torana I don't like either... Jeep Konnection do a simular flare to standard but that's about it. Do you know of any?

It'd be pretty close. I think it would depend largely on the tyre manufacturer. I run 17x9, 4.5b/s and 315/70r17s. They stick out by about 1 inch.

If it's a factory look with more coverage you're after, try these:

Highrock 4x4 Flares

IIRC, DBOR stocks them here in Aus.

Yeah. Fair call. There are flare options that go over the top of existing flares like highrock (mentioned by The Beard). Personally, I run the Trailmods removable flares. Not sure if you can still get them. They look sort of stock, but give an extra inch and a half each side and they can be removed to reveal an inner 3 inch wide flare for trails. They give just enough coverage for my 17x9s with 4.5 BS

Don't get me wrong...increasing track width is another change/risk you will have to get an engineer across if you are going that route. But if you are going a 3.5 inch lift and 35s and can get an engineer to look at it... you know what I am saying.

What state are you located?
