Just wasn't sure about it being 9000lb, but like MM suggests I guess if it's too much work on it I'll double up with the snatch block.

I will replace the steel cable with synthetic rope as well.
Cheap and Warn are not usually mentioned in the same sentence.

There are some considerations when putting synthetic rope on a winch that came with steel cable. The drum may not be designed for rope.

Synthetic rope flattens down into a rectangular shape when loaded on the drum, this puts load on the outside of the drum and can even cause the end flanges to come off, particularly on cast aluminium drums that are commonly used for steel cable. Synthetic rope drums are tapered at the flanges to help the reduce the outward pressure.

Some winches have the brake mechanism in the drum. The heat produced is dissipated through the drum and steel cable but is a big problem for synthetic rope!

If you rarely use the winch these issues may never surface. Synthetic is definitely the way to go and is much safer than cable. It pays to be aware of its properties as it requires different dampening methods to cable, does not like long term UV exposure and can become embedded with dirt etc.

Thanx for the info.
