Bought a 48AH back in 2000 and it's done literally hundreds of thousands of km in mine, my dad's and my brothers 4wds, basically as a plug in dual battery running fridges. Only last year I tested it and found the batteries had no capacity left so grabbed 4 new ones and up graded them to 17 AH and ended up with a 68AH pack.
Awesome and never regret buying one.
Matt.

looking at the prices on ebay.. in my opinion, you would be better off with a proper dual battery system fitted under the bonnet.. would be about the same price by my calculations AND you dont have an (potential) explosive projectile in the back of the JK..

Are AGM batteries explosive? & yes the thumper must be secured in the cargo area.
The under bonnet dual battery option is a very restrictive in comparison as all camping power needs revolve around the car & not a portable battery pack that can be placed anywhere you like.

I would have thought anything that could cause crimped terminals to fall off could also crack solder. Personally I prefer a combination of both, having solder fail on me on my track car mid run.
