Top trim panel complete, ready for the custom laser cut 2mm steel grille (with Jeep logo cut into it)

I also added the 18mm routered floor and opted for 50mm pine bracing in the centre instead of steel. This thing is damn strong without the need for steel. I also used a 10mm roundover bit to smooth the corners over a bit more. 4x 18mm ribs in the outer perimeter slow the turbulance inside the circular shape enclosure a little bit. Hopefully this will cancel out some of the inherit design flaws of a cylinder enclosure.

I'm still not happy with it: I've changed my mind and the grille will now be circular (not square) so tomorrow, I'll re-do the top panel and redesign the custom 2mm steel grille to be round instead of square

Strength test: 85kg on top... PASS

Also, It seems the Jeep has multiplied.. This one is an '03 Grand Cherokee Overland so it has the nicer Leather/Alcantara trim, sunroof, quadradrive, rock sliders and the more powerful 190kw engine. I've just picked this up for my mate who is currently overseas and will be returning in a couple of weeks.

Oops, stuck again..

Looks like I need either more lift/articulation or diff locks. A simple front or rear LSD would have even helped..

Kinda a bit embarrassing considering it was less than 1km down the road from home :/

Also, new subs/trimming of sub box

Few small changes:
2" springs, 3-4" RC 2.2 shocks. Once springs have settled, I'm fitting my 2" BB for a total of 3.5-4" of lift, rear 2" lifted air bags, sway bar disconnects, steering stabiliser, front and rear lower control arms and having my custom made adjustable track bar fitted.

My first flex with the disconnects fitted.

I was quite impressed how far it can go on stock control arms and 4" of lift
