My old car destroyed batteries due to the stupid big stereo. Anywhere from 6 to 9 months was all it got from one despite a massive capacitor. When it was on its way out would do a similar thing. Not start and just click when warm only and if it was shagged to the point of needing a jump in the morning it would run badly once going. Rough idle, poor power everywhere and also the temp gauge was up presumably a bad burn from lack of fuel or spark or something. Wack a fresh battery in it and would run like a dream again.

Sounds like our JK's are battery powered

Will do over the weekend and revert back.

Yeah the D31 though a nice bif battery and also quoted by some battery "specialists" as the correct one will not fit. I recently stuck a Federal 800CCA 125A/H (marine) battery in. About as big as you could go in stock mounts and designed to put up with the constant thumping over waves a boat gets so pretty ideal for a Jeep! Was not to expensive either, from memory mid $200's delivered and installed (Jeeo was dead on the driveway with no othwr transport)

Sent from a tiny keyboard with fat fingers, apologies for my spelling. .

What battery do they come with from the factory? I remember mine being a tight squeeze when I had it out looking for a place to run my amp power cables but didn't look to see what brand or anything it was. Just looked now and its got D34 on the top but can't see a brand still. No issues with it, just thought since all this talk of batteries and people that seem to know a bit about them in the JK someone might be able to tell me if that's the standard size or if its been replaced. Curious as I've only had the car a few weeks and its getting onto 4 years old wonder if it may be the original still in it or if its definately been replaced at some stage. Its all black as well.

Not too sure of the dimensions, as I no longer have my OEM battery, but I remember it was 600CCA. I've replaced mine with a Lion (SMFDCM24) calcium battery, it is 600CCA and 82AH. The dimensions are (LxWxH) 258mmX173mmX226mm and it easily fits where the old OEM battery did.
