Just a update for anyone that might be searching the forum later on. Ended up with the Tough Dog. Definitely a big fat chunky bar. Only just finished putting it on. Didn't measure it but its probably about 33mm OD, definitely much bigger than the factory bar. Not sure if they forgot to put the tap down the hole far enough or what as I couldn't get it short enough to centre the axle. Needed to trim the threaded bar end back a couple threads but still heaps of thread on it (probably 3 inches). Probably has a 4mm pitch thread so adjustable in 2mm steps every 180* and my axles centred within 1mm now. Much better. $275 posted to my door. A little bit of stuffing around but for the price I'm a happy camper.

Hey MDK, just noticed from your pic that your steering stabiliser looks quite vulnerable down there. You could get a track bar bolt from Fox which would enable you to flip the steering stabiliser up 180deg out of harm's way.

Yup. Its on the list of things to do but a couple of others ahead of it just yet. I wonder if Jeep put it there from the factory to offer the diff cover some protection and it was actually thought out and not just thrown on the easiest place? I know I'd rather loose the stabilizer than put a hole in the diff cover.

One would have to go"wheeling" to be able to take any pics. Just waiting on my front sway links to turn up and machine up the disconnects and brackets for them and I'll give it a run somewhere. Has been more than capable in the couple paddocks I've taken it thru with some steep hill climbs needed L4. Hopefully squeeze in a Bribie trip in the next week or so depending on work.
