Default MBRP roof rack choice

I have a roof rack arriving very soon from mbrp, I was wondering from other uses what the max size rack/tray/basket can go on top if you have a unlimited jk and don't want the extensions on.

Also, can a ladder be fitted?

I have fitted a Rhino mess platform to mine as I required a low profile system to fit it into the carport.
Also it is more practical for different cargos, canoes, stuff from Bunnings etc.
The best part is that the Rhino medium size platform fits almost perfectly over the mounting flanges and looks the "duck guts".
As it doesn't extend to the outer shoulders, this allows you to add other accessories such as awnings, tie down points, rod holders etc. The threaded mounting holes in the top of the outer tube make this a breeze, especially if you want to have them removable.
For example, I only fit my awning when I go on a trip where I will use it. Anyhow, who needs this thing getting caught in trees, rotting in the sun, or in my case, hitting the top of the carport.
I fit or remove mine in less than 5 minutes.
Anyhow, if you do decide to go this way, don't buy any of the Rhino hardware, just buy the bare platform and then head off to your local fasteners shop and buy some decent U bolts, black paint etc and mount it properly in true resilient Jeep fashion.
I am not home at the moment so can't give you any of the finer details.😊

Sorry, forgot the ladder.
Don't need one.
I found that with my wider wheels and tyres extending to the outer edge of the guards along with my Blackjack rock slider / steps, they serve as a pretty good set of steps.
Hope this is all helpful. 😎

Not here. Not detailed ones anyhow.
I'm on site about 2000 km away but will be back home on Thursday. I'll take some then.

I didn't use a rack I just got some 25 x 25mm mesh and fabbed up a simple 25 x 25 frame and painted it all black. Low profile and ratchet straps can clip anywhere. same as for ladder, no need with steps and wheels. Depends on how short you are but be careful as the bolt through design allows for straight down forces not side pulling forces
