However, for such a small change it's not worth re-gearing as far as I'm concerned (and I run the same size tyres as you on my MY10 JKU CRD auto). If you had 3.21 diff gears then you might think about it, but it seems a bit excessive when you already have 3.73's.
From what you've said it sounds like the significant contributing factor is the hard beach work without an additional trans cooler.
I've still not had an additional cooler fitted to mine but it's on the list. Looking at getting a camper trailer so I'll certainly fit one before I do a lot of towing.

I have the same year, tyres and transmission as well and agree.
I do a lot of soft sand driving and have it stuck on dunes and beaches quite often.
The difference is I have added an additional transmission cooler.
Also, I have the added advantage of inspecting my transmission as I do my own servicing. This allows me to check my fluid condition and pan and filter contents. So far it has been perfectly clean, none of the fine black black residue which is telltale of transmission abuse or fault.
I know this won't help now, but it may influence any future decisions you may make to extend your transmission life and relieve you of some concerns.
How many Kms had you done?
