I've got the AEV, and agree with others its great in all respects. I had it fitted about a year ago. I cant remember what it cost, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't $1700. Give Mitchell Bros at Brookvale a try.

I guess given your decision to go a new hood you are no longer in need of the RHS mesh insert for the current hood? the offer is still there if you want it while your waiting

Steve, give Danny at the SJC a call he has developed a new bonnet incorporating a built in snorkel and vents, he has one on his JKU, not to shabby, he was showing us last night. Doggy Dave..

Dave, I have heard about it but being fibre-glass is a bit suss to me. Especially combined with my JK being outdoors 24/7 and the engine heat, it will eventually have an impact IMO.
I've settled on a AEV, so just getting quotes for supply and paint, hopefully soon. Besides, I think they look cool and I think the vents will minimise hood flutter when passing big trucks at speed.

Poison Spyder make a bonnet louver for the JK. I saw it on the SBR Offroad site under exterior.

I have the PS louver, they work fine but id put some aluminium fly screen under the inlets, no shortage of gum leaves in my engine bay even after one night.
