If you are planning on taking the Jeep offroad, then this normally results in a whole shopping lists to make it even more capable. (although stock, the JK is a great car off road) That's when it can get expensive.

Ive had my 2010 Jk manual for over 2 years now (bought as an ex demo) and apart from things that I have broken while wheeling, I have only had a couple of minor issues that were fixed under warranty. You will always here of cars having issues, but every brand has lemons, and wranglers are no different.

have a look around the forum, especially in the JK section, and that will give you an idea of what you might expect.

There are a number of very good jeep specialists in Oz in most states, but sourcing parts from the states is also extremely easy.

I guess it depends what your daily drive involves... JK sucks in city IMHO, blind spots and awful turning circle and inner city parking on narrow streets. Off-the-lights nippiness just isn't there without stupid fuel use.

But lots of fun in other places!

Are you talking about 3.6 V6? It's the nippiest Wrangler I've driven with 4.10 ratios.

Watch out at roundabouts and pedestrian crossings. Whole cars, let alone pedestrians, can vanish behind the A pillar.

Then again, this is not a JK exclusive issue either...
