Depends on the year model. Early models (crd) had a 67-70l tank (one day I'll actually check mine) and the later years were 76l from memory. I don't stress over it anymore, when it's empty, I fill it up
It's got to be bigger than 70ltrs. The data sheet I just posted elsewhere from autoweb also quotes 70 litres. I have 2 photos posted on the previous page showing that I have filled with 72 & 70+ litres. I also happen to be fuel logging at present and have receipts here showing 74.59 and 75.15ltrs. I'm not sure how I drove to the servo if the tank is smaller than what I managed to put in it. Maybe 77 would be correct although I hope I wasn't down to my last 2 litres? I'll check my manual in the morning. I guess it could be filling right up the filler or a poorly calibrated fuel browser....um...how dare I even suggest it....
I will definitely have to do something to this vehicle. After reading all of the threads I am sure there is something wrong with my car. I got rid of a 2003 WJ 2.7CRD because it was off the road more than on and over three years almost sent me broke. Even that car with all its weight returned 8.5L/100kms. With this MY05 we are averaging about 18.5L/100kms and that is without towing or anything like that. I must say that this one is a 3.7L petrol!
The absolute best I've done on my V6 with 245 70 16 tires is 10.7l 100km on the open road at 90/100 kph. Average driving is about 11.9 - 13.1 depending on speed.
Remap exhaust and decat helps a lot
