Jk electrical unreliable

I have a 2012 CRD and would be looking at a tranny cooler if I was towing regularly. The older model CRDs have a known issue with the hoses splitting (newer ones have a different type of hose).

I'd also see if you can get some recommendations from other owners about good local workshops to use that known jeeps. I steer well clear of the dealers now after a few bad run ins and them not really knowing the product. I get better (and cheaper) service from my local workshop who lives and breathes jeeps.

I would have helped him if I could - friendliness on the (easier) trails seems to be going downhill (ha!) and I'm damned if I'm going to be part of that!, but there wasn't a lot I could do other than suggest he ran his tranny in manual mode so the torque converter doesn't slip.
