Ive also installed this kit at the same time as doing a service. I fitted the sonnax a couple of weeks before and found the sonnax pressure booster gave a subtle yet noticeable improvement. The actual transgo kit did not feel any different but i think will improve the trans longevity.

Yup did this a month or so ago, fitted Sonnax before HD2 kit, and instantly felt a subtle improvement, once the shift kit went in I could not really feel my much at all, and now the TCU has calibrated after a few hundred Kms I can tell quicker shifts only really noticeable at WOT, which I tend not to do too much to my ride. All in all gains in the right direction, gave me something else to waste my money on, I justify it due to the supposed longevity it may assist with wrt to my 545RFE.

One point I will make is the heavy duty valve body cover it comes with is to replace the flimsy one that comes standard with 545RFE as they can bend and stop the box shifting, however on inspection the one in my 545 RFE actually seemed beefier, better designed and better made than the Transgo one, I just wonder if Australian delivered. Austrian built WG's had this fix already done to their 545RFE's.

On mine the plate in the kit was much beefier than stock. Mine is an early model build,my2000.

sorry to dredge up an old post but figured better than starting a fresh one.

i havent found any solid feeback on the following setup on WG V8 Ho

i want to do it all. toggle switch on the torque management wire, transgo shift kit, sonnax and run a Superchips Flashpaq hand held tuner which im about to win the bid on.

is this setup not reccomened or not nessecary due to conflicting and contradictory/overlapping mods?

The transgo kit is mostly about improving reliability so is complementary to any other mods.
The sonnax increases trans oil pressure to clamp up clutches better, it is simply a resistor to trick the ecu.
Some people have said that the flashpaq already raises trans pressure so dont need the sonnax.
