Just had wheel alignment done on WH with the Std OME lift package,( lifted nearly 3 inches in front ,1.25 inches in rear.)Plenty of adjustment for castor ,camber etc.Noted that OME shocks said made in Oz on carton made in USA on shock. Also noted that in US same package nearly $300.00 cheaper !!.The WH has only done 80000klms fr springs had sagged nearly half an inch, and one rear shock nearly gone.New setup feels pretty good.

I've got a 2" lift and had n alignment done. Not flash. I then got a new set of tyres about a year later and got another alignment. Absolutely brilliant. The car actually drove without wanting to slightly go off the road, and what was even better, the steering wheel was perfectly straight first time.

If you are up on the Sunshine Coast, I recommend Phat Wheels in Kunda Park (Maroochydore). Don't recommend the tyres I chose, but definitely will go back to them for another brand of tyre and wheel alignment when necessary.

So what brand and type of tyres were they and what didn't you like about them? What will you go for next time?

They're called Summit Trail Climbers. They are AT's. Not as bad as my Cooper STT's, but not great. You can feel them loosing grip on a wet roundabout. I think if the WH wasn't FT 4wd, they'd be worse.

I had Bridgestones prior, and they were nearly worn out, but always felt very grippy.

Thanks for the heads up. Sometimes the long wearing A/T's are just too hard a compound and really suffer in the wet. I had some Cooper ST's on my Rodeo ute and they could get a bit hairy at times in the wet switching from understeer to oversteer on some corners. But they were as tough as teeth and great offoad. Fulltime 4WD on the GC will certainly help prevent that though.

I'm still searching for some new tyres for my GC. I'm thinking cheap option would be Goodyear Wranglers off a JK or spend up and go either Cooper AT3's or BFG A/T.

Just a tip when fitting the 2 inch lift plus front springs and shocks.Under deflection upwards the upper arm can contact the upper section of the spring.I would surmise heaver bump stops will help or the modified upper arms that alleviate the problem.
Put Pirelli Scorpions A/Ts on mine.On the previous vehicle found the A/T Wranglers wore very quickly, the A/T 694 Dunlops picked up every stone in existance
