Yep, I'm a HHH participant. Wouldn't try it now though, it woulf kill me!
I finally finished working there about 12 years ago.
Could write a book but no one would believe it or understand it unless you have worked there for a while.

I'm about 95% sure I saw a black panther just west of Ararat. I saw it in my high beams standing in the middle of the road, it turned so I could see its profile then it ran and jumped up a 3 meter rock wall with 1 bound. It lookis like a solid grey hound with a tail the same length as its body.

Did you know that that is feasible.
There's a story about some USAF personnel after WW2 releasing some pets as they couldn't get them back to the states.
They were supposedly released in the Grampians.
Every now and again there is a reported sighting, but generally it is considered as a manifestation of alcohol or something else grown in the area.
My dad claimed to see them from time to time during the road constructions through there.
The reason I say it is feasible is because my dad was a tea totaler and was a pretty straight bloke generally.

Would never ever recommend/buy/use a swag set-up tent to anyone.........Story not strange/creepy, but still a good tale................
The SJC had a weekend away to Bylong..... One old club member had her miniature horses on adjistment there............... Sound asleep in the tent, can hear the miniature stallion named Dongger( appropriately named little beast) very early at the camp area on the scavenge for left out food, or so I thought!........ We had a young Texan (hi Ryan) in Aust. studying marine biology, loved/missed his Jeeps, so he came out for the run, using his new swag for the first time..... I walk out of my tent to see Dongger mounting his swag with Ryan still inside of the swag........ Suddenly without me having time to say a word , this stunned white faced Texan came charging from out of the swag wondering WT? then red faced once awake and aware of the event that was happening/ed........... At least it wasn't a "drop bear" I suppose...... No pictorial evidence though......
