Default 2.5 td rebuild problems ( oil squirter issue)

Hi all im busy rebuilding a vm engine for my xj but I ran into some problems.

1. The number 2 main bearing burned/melted.
Causing a burn on the crank.
And caused the main bearing carrier to warp.

2. Rear main mearing melted damaging the the rear main carrier with it.

Now I have a spare block from witch I pulled the crank out. And it is in excellent condition.
So i Put the crank in my old block and 2 of the carriers fit perfectly except number 2.

(Note that im using the crank from the spare block and the carriers from the original engine.)

My original block is a DD code block witch has oil squirters on the block for the pistons
The spare block is a VM code block in witch the oil squirters are in the carriers.

My question is do I just use the spare block's carriers with the spare crank in my original block or do I block off the squirters and then use them in my block or do I close off the squirters in my orginal block and use the carrier squirters?

I wanna get her running before the holidays so help would be awesome.

Cant see it making much difference as long as you end up with a squirter on each cylinder/piston. Probably best to have the same sort on each. Best not have 2 on any as this may cause a reduction in oil pressure & so not as strong squirt.
Best make sure that the housing around each main bearing carrier is true & not out of shape. Blocks can get out of shape with heat.

The housing carrier is find its just the carrier that warped. Im so frustrated with how half a$$ed some workshops work.

Another reason for the bearing failures is the fact that they couldn't get the jeep started after the rebuild.
They burned out the starter then replaced it.

When I got the engine I saw the problem first off. Injector number one was in cylinder number 2..
Its stupidity of some mechanics that makes my blood boil.

The starters for these in Australia are expensive & can be hard to find. After rebuilding or working on the fuel system, I would always tow start the car. That goes for most diesels.
