I do understand that, I was just curious what size tyres were fitted to these rims when this optioned was chosen. May have been a bonus as well.

In QLD we can go 50mm wider track on a solid axle so they are legal up here

Though I dont believe they are considered a factory option as i dont belive a new tyre placard is fitted so tyre size is still the same.

Changing your tyre placard to something that was not an option on a version of your vehicle doesn't make your tyre size legal.

In fact technically only an engineer/manufacturer can certify a placard change.

Holden used to fit a new placard to there vehicles if you purchased a set of alternative wheels & tyres off them (Holden by design).
That's why I asked about the Black Ops wheels as they were sold by Jeep.

I doubt they even look at the placard anymore, manufacturer details probably just pop up when the VIN is entered etc.

Its pretty easy for Mr Plod when your running 35's....as there is no stock vehicle sold in Oz that comes standard with tyres that get you within 50mm of 35's.
