Self amalgating tape from any electrical wholesaler, maybe hardware store or Rescue tape from some Pirahna 4wd distributors will work depending on where hole is. You do have to clean the area first.

Thanks a lot all for the suggestions. Turns out im staying next to the only mechanic in town. If he can patch it up il go thrifty link and start taping.
Thanks for the offer midnight, i thought of u as soon as it blew but not confident it will be here by tuesday night. I have yet to remove the crankcase tube, aa i havent looked for it. Ill be getting the green tune soon so should be ok.
Those constant hills were killing me with the 35s and 3.73. I just turned o/d off and it was magnificent for a whole hour, then hiiiisssssss.....

Yep the hills just never stop! I went last year and had NO air con.. the shop regassed my system but never vac'd the old gas out so about an hour into the trip on a 44deg day I had no air con.
50deg cabin temps, hill after hill in a manual with 35's.. and so many caravans.. Not a jeep friendly drive

So went to goodyear auto, the guy (andrew - top guy) stuck a punture repair thing over the split, did a few wraps of cloth tape and has been good driving all day. I still got a roll of silicone tape and duct tape if it goes again on the way home.
Thanks for ur quick responses and helpful suggestions.
