Default Poor review of Blackhawk Wrangler

Maybe this should be in the January rant thread but it's really annoying when you read reviews of vehicles written by people who don't have a clue and don't take the time to research the vehicle they are driving..http://www.carsales.com.au/reviews/2...T0yMCZObmU9MjA.

I agree. I'll be the first to agree that the JK is not the ideal DD/city car for many and has more than it's fair share of quirks but that review was just BS. The bloke (presumably a bloke) deserves the sack for submitting stuff like that. Clearly has no clue about what he's reviewing, or comparable 4WD's in general. It's a pity as stupid reviews like that (or rather stupid reviewers!) will no doubt put people off buying one when in fact they may well like it.

I dunno that its that bad of a review in the circumstances chosen. Seems as tho theyve tried to review it as something its not and compare it to vehicles its not even close to. And the road based negatives help to make it better offroad like the light steering but strange anyone would want heavier steering with a larger lock to lock. Been a couple times offroad ive still had to heave the wheel to get it to turn. Interesting road noise is a complaint when it appears to have highway terrains fitted as well.

Must have a heavy foot to get 15l/100. I get better with the old 3.8.

Yeah. It's a bit like a review for a refrigerator.
The butter compartment is too small, the crisper is too hard to access, it doesn't hold enough eggs on the egg shelf etc etc, when you only want it to crank up really cold to throw piss in.

Like other Wrangler models fitted with the five-speed auto, this one features a Command-Trac dual-range 4WD system that not's as effective as manual systems fitted with low-range option, but is still pretty useful on an overgrown fire track.
Unquote.

What the hell did I just read??????? Seems this nimrod couldn't find low range in his auto JK......... and 15L/100km???? Seriously, I've never even come close to that.
