Bullbar mounted rod holders are illegal in some states. Another silly pedestrian focused law.

I run a bull bar holder for my beach rods. It's illegal in NSW to leave them on without any rods in them though. Most people I know just turn them upside down on the inside of the bull bar until they are needed.

I have seen on ebay internal holders that you secure to the grab handles or the roll bars in our case. They are $40 delivered from Asia.

Occy strap mine to my rola roof rack in the cloth rod bag I store them in. Even in the overgrown tracks down to the beach they never snag as they are inside the roofline.
Matt.

I made up a bracket from a bit of 50x50 RHS & some inch & quarter pipe I had laying around so it bolts onto the ariel mount of the ARB bar.

I had made the rocket launcher itself 30 years ago so had to adapt it to the ARB bar with an easy on & off system.

I left a lip on the RHS so it fits against the back edge of the ariel bracket to stop the rocket launcher turning. A nut is welded to the bottom plate before the plate is welded to the RHS. I glued some rubber onto the bottom to help protect the bar paint. A simple wingnut with a little round bar.
