I have been wanting to upgrade the 6-disc cd player unit (non-mygig) in my KK for a while now and finally took a "gamble" and bought one of those offered on ebay for $450 delivered.
For those keen on changing their default cd player, it's a nifty media unit:-
1. higher resolution (800x480) than the mygig unit?
2. 6.2" touch-screen
2. single-disc DVD/CD/multi-media format player
3. Bluetooth with visual access to your phonebook
4. retains all steering wheel controls
5. Better EQ
6. Sat Nav with maps you can update yourself
7. Digital TV
8. Reverse camera
9. 3G internet with a usb modem attached
10. Two usb ports
11. Supports iphone/ipod playback
12. No hard-disk but it takes a 64Gb SD card, which is as quick and I could pop in new tracks easily.
13. Dual-zone function e.g. Satnav on front unit, and supports rear dvd screen if installed.
Pulled off the fascia cover quite easily and replaced the old with the new. It was plug-n-play so no hassle there. Had to take out a bracket which was behind my old unit which was in the way. All works well. A couple of images here:-
