Lol. Yes I am . You still haven't contributed and haven't said what you mean. If you want to tell me to effoff, then say so. What's this have a nice day cop out? Yankee style, ae?

The big boy Hammertone obviously knows that he can call Vicroads. Not that stupid.

Ever tried calling them or RMS, NSW for any answers? Good luck with that.

That is why questions are asked on the forum. It doesn't make us experts but hopefully the collective experience will point to the right direction.

I think you're right The max for the model only applies to option 2 of VSI8. Bugger.

It's such a circus. This means that all the 70 Series and DX patrols sold with skinny tyres can't run wider tyres, despite the fact they are much safer...

If you are 15 still JGW then you will be used to doing it yourself.

tyre width has always had far less limitations than tyre height or diameter so yoy can put fatties on a base Patrol/Cruiser.

Yeah you're right, 50% more width is allowed so if you got the 7.5" tyres on the Troopy you'd be allowed 11.25" wide tyres. Hardly huge though.

The troopy is only sold with skinnies, but i guess 79 and 76 have the option of wider tyres meaning it wouldn't be a problem on them.

The more i read it the more confusing it gets lol

Yeah JGWs completely correct. I called Shannons a while ago to ask how high I can go on my vehicle and the answer was, word for word, "we don't care! we just don't care!" He said if it's deemed illegal by vicroads then they'll pin it. I asked so how does the claims assessor know it's illegal? He said, cause it's been deemed so by vicroads. What a joke.

And vicroads... well.. my best guess is that the equiries department of vicroads consists of a room full of computers that's staffed by a bunch of monkeys who spend their days eating bananas and throwing their dung at each other cause they're sure not interested in answering phone calls or emails.

I like the idea of keeping the data sheet in the car in case evidence is needed. The data sheet is a federal document by the way. I opened my eyes and discovered that it says it in big bold letters at the top
