Hi Mick.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I have been offline for a while.

The tool hooks on the injector quite low down, there is 2 flat spots under the top of the ejector. So sounds like you have screwed the top out of the injector.

This tool is very heavy duty and can take a lot of force. I was hanging of the end of a quite a long wrench when extracting mine. I don't think anything else except this tool could have done the job.

I can take a photo of it and send if you like.

Where are you located, I am happy to lend the tool to you for a price.

Kim

Hi glen.

I haven't hired out before so not sure what people would be happy with.

From memory I paid around 375 for the tool, I can check tonight.

I think $75 hire for 2 weeks would be sort of fair. Plus postage if required.

Open to suggestions.

Kim

Now you have a sliding hammer injector remover, works a treat !!!!

Kim, personally you need to charge a deposit that is worth more than buying the tool, this ensures you get it back.

The other choice is if any fellow ausjeepoffroad member does the dirty and doesnt return the tool, we get to bag them out here and hunt them down like the obvious dog that they are

Regards
Daz

I have a set of injector removal tools. I bought the injector removal tool and a suitable slide hammer for under $200.

But, you'd have to make an offset adaptor and use it for situations where the bloody windscreen tray thingy gets in the way.
