Post Spotlights - Help

Hi all,

Just a quick question in regards to adding some spotties to the jk. I have no previous knowledge as to what brand / watts / lumens / inches I am after.
I currently have 50 inch 300 watt light bar and as we all know they're not the best for long distance lighting, so now I am after spotlights that will produce a greater length of light.

Any recommendations and info would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advance.

I have a 20" Aurora spot/flood that does a damn good job of throwing light down the road. Mounted on the front & wired so it can only come on if the high beam is on, (for legal on road reasons).

a brand name lightbar with throw tons of light a long way down the road.. 300W is a massive amount of light, so I can only assume you have an ebay special "300W" lightbar..
my Monsterlights 100W 20" is WAY brighter than the shitty ebay "300W" I used to run..

having said all that, if you want maximum distance from a spotlight, a HID converted Narva or Hella 9" spotlight will give masses amount of light..

the ebay 185W 9" spotties also throw quite a bit of light, but from what I have seen, are not efficient i.e. their lenses are quite shitty compared to Intensitys..

Yep you guessed it, definitely was an "ebay special" but then again for the price I paid you cant go wrong.

Those 'fyrlyts' definitely seem like they do the job lol. Although the price is rather steep

Once again thanks for all the info.

I was running Lightforce 170's before I switched over to my LED lightbars and found them to be a great product.

If you want pure distance you cannot go past a quality HID lamp and reflector.

Have a look at the Lightforce XGT 50w HID fixtures. These things will through a 1km beam yet you can still customize the beam with their fixture covers.
They are great on the open road but I wouldn't use them on the tracks without fitting the combo covers.
The good thing is with the different covers they make you can match the beam colour to the LED colour temperature.
