Default Code clearing on 2.7 CRD

Driving along Tuesday night Check Engine Light came on for 5 minutes then went off. For the rest of the 100 k trip this happened again 3 times. Better check this out tomorrow. Wednesday CEL on all the time and car went into limp mode. Looks like low battery. I have had vehicle for two years and have not changed the battery in that time. Put on charge and read codes. Dash shows P0342, P0702 and P0836. Getting worried now, sounds nasty when reading up on faults. Try Troque pro app with ELM327 BT clone. Mine will show engine information but not does not show any code faults. Pull out ELM327 USB clone and remember post recently about transmission limp mode with a link for a free WG 2.7 CRD only code resetting tool. Downloaded software and installed it, this is another story, and read codes. This readout added P0700 to the above list. Pressed reset code and after short wait reports codes cleared. Reread codes after starting engine no codes shown and MIL light now off. Checked codes on dash also none shown. Drove car working fine. Installed new battery and done 200ks no trouble. Would highly recommend code resetting tool. Here is the link

I bought the USB clone form China for under $10 posted. Am looking at other software and will comment soon.

About 12 months too late for me but YEEHAA finally. Would love to know for others benefit if this software can get in and read the actual TCM codes as those 0700 based codes you came up with are generic to a degree from the ECU not specific to the actual trans error. If it can get into the trans codes this is truly a brilliant development.
