Default Front lift

Hi all.

Has anyone done a lift on a diesel Kj themselves? Including new shocks.

If so, how hard/ easy was it?
Do u recommend doing it yourself or pay a pro?

Cheers

I did mine. Ordered the parts from Stu. Rear is easy, front is hard due to all the stuff in the way of strut removal. There is an old thread around on how to do it. Don't try to disassemble the struts you could kill yourself, especially on the CRDs, take them into Pedders or other suspension guys to get the new strut assemled then you install the strut/spring combo. Will need a new alignmnt when done. I think I paid Pedders $50 to put the springs on the strut for me.
If you know what your doing it is not hard, if you don't pay a pro.

I changed the springs and struts myself. Bruised and skinned several knuckles and my knee in the process. Next time I do it I'll be using three spring compressors. Fronts are a bugger and on the drivers side you have to remove airbox, steering resevoir and some other sensor thingy on the passenger side, battery, fuse and relay box and the abs module foules on the socket when trying to remove one of the strut top bolts. If you have some mechanical knowledge you'll be ok.
