I highly doubt it, considering I have replaced many CRD's that are don't even make it too 100k before the belts are falling apart. 240k. There is no way in hell the belt would last that long in the crd's

injectors are $2232+ from a dealership, $500 ish from a bosch reseller.

I'm at about half of that now and have no desire to sell the JK for a good few years yet (unless the new JK comes with the 3l V6 CRD then I could be tempted). It's good to know I can expect (or at least hope for) a few more faithful years service out of it.
I am with you on that one Paul. If the V6 CRD and 8 speed becomes available then I think I would also be tempted to by a new wrangler.

What absolutely CRAPS me about forums is the bullshit that gets flapped around.
Have a look at your falling apart?? 100k CRD timing belt when it is removed. Make your own mind up.
Have a look at the VM motori units London Taxis are running. For a million ks.
The VM Motori engine seems to be the most reliable part of the JK CRD.
Now I am off to get a scan to figure out which one of my mexican built wheel speed sensors is throwing an ABS light!
Cheers.

oops, are we still on about fuel economy?

X 2, I have no intention in upgrading unless the V6 crd is available very hard not to upgrade otherwise loving what I have now.

Ok so now i have done approx 10000ks & the economy does not seem to be improving. Around town avg 12.5 to 13 litres, on highway run melb to gold coast the best i got was 11.7 litres. 2 adults & approx 100kgs of stuff in the jeep. I have fitted some accessories but fuel usage for a diesel still seems quite high.
