Rear is a Chrysler 8.25, front is a Dana 30a. There's a mob up in QLD that do a good looking 8.25 skid plate, info over in the KK section

I have been running a 8.25 rear dff cover made of 1/2" plate that I imported from the US years ago. It's a heavy sucker, and I originally got it for the Cape trip. Be aware that most thick covers require new longer bolts, the stock ones will not work (too short). The best thing about it is the drain plug, makes changing diff fluid a clean job.

Which diff cover do you have glend? I'm currently tossing up between the SOLID and OX ones.

Ruffstuff 8.25 but honestly it is overkill for just about any KJ.

I ended up going with the OX lockers diff cover and man it's a HD cover!! 10mm thick around the flange edge and I'd say around 1/2" around the bell.
